First time for Photo Application Lightroom

By Andy Taylor

Author Mike MombargGetting your hands on top quality software doesn't mean you will have to wait for it to arrive in the mail or a road trip to your local computer store. Adobe has announced today that Adobe's Photo catalog and digital dark room software Lightroom Version 4 is now available for download through the Mac App store for the first time.

The Adobe Lightroom product is a popular solution for photographers whether pro or beginner to manage your photos and easily share them either on the web or within PDF documents. As a photographer, this is incredibly usefull when a client wants to view photos from a session.

Back in March we talked with Product Manager Tom Hogarty about the software which features new and enhanced tools to aid the photographer in not only managing the photo libraries but also set values for the most common task such as exposure and contrast. While Photoshop is used for powerful editing features, Adobe Lightroom can easily take care of basic task adjustments but also handle a range of other features such as printing directly to a third party provider for creation of a photo book.

DSLR users such as myself will also appreciate the ability to take HD Video and work with individual frames for impressive still shots. If you are a photographer that likes to remember where you shot a photo, geo-tagging is supported as well with a map that can pinpoint the location a photo was taken.

The Adobe Lightroom for Mac can be download today from the Mac App store for $149 - Check out http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/adobe-photoshop-lightroom-4/id506734677?mt=12 for more Information!
