We've had the privledge to speak with Wallace Wang quite a few times over the years with discussions on various books such as the Steal This Book series penned by the Author, Stand Up Comic and Radio Host. Wallace has a style of writing a book that feels warm and understanding to questions the newbie or even seasoned technical user may have.
Wallace's new book ventures into an area that many consumers have been thinking about and jumping into; getting a new Mac. According to Apple, the number continues to grow with users ditching the PC and moving to the All In One iMac Desktop or Mac portable. We can deduct that much of this has been fueled by cohesion with the features of the iPhone and iPod units as well as the ability to run the Windows Platform with programs such as Boot Camp or VMware to cover the invested software already used on the PC.
But why? It's not as though the Windows PC Platform is broken? With the frustration many have felt with Service Packs, Vista and maybe, just maybe, those PC vs Mac adds from Apple hit a nerve, the numbers are changing. Wallace's new book, My New Mac, was written with his father in mind. Wallace told TechtalkRadio thay his dad is a basic user that would just like to use the Mac to accomplish the most basic of task. As with the Vista platform, the OSX still can leave migraters and new users a bit purplexed.
Wallace handles the answer to many of the Mac questions in a easy to look up and follow task book. 52 simple projects are what Wallace has included in the pages from Creating Copying and Moving files to covering your tracks on the Internet. If you looking for information on how to use the much touted Time Machine with your new Mac, handy instruction can be found in the pages of My New Mac.
Tune in to listen to our Interview with Wallace Wang and hear why this book should be included as a purchase with your new Mac. We'll find out if there will ever be another "Steal this Computer Book" and what's next for the Author. We always enjoy having Wallace on the show.
