In the past year, Twitter has exploded as not only a way to mini blog your activities with friends but also as a way for businesses to freely push a brand into the social networking arena. While some may be pondering whether the 140 -character message can say anything about a product or service, others are taking the bull by the horns and finding success. There is certainly some strategy for building or continuing a brand with Twitter Post and a book from O'Reilly Press "The Twitter Book" helps understand the pluses and tactics for using the free service.

Sarah Milstein writes, speaks, and teaches frequently on Twitter. She is also cofounder of 20slides.com, a site for lively, work-related workshops. Previously, she was on the senior editorial staff at O'Reilly, where she founded the Tools of Change for Publishing conference (TOC) and led the development of the Missing Manuals, a best-selling series of computer books for non-geek's. She's written for the series, too, coauthoring "Google: The Missing Manual." Before joining O'Reilly, Sarah was a freelance writer and editor, and a regular contributor to The New York Times.
