Not long ago we had the opportunity to take a look at the Xplore IX104C3 Tablet PC and feature it on one of our broadcast television segments. The product is a Rugged, and we do mean rugged tablet PC that can withstand most elements working in the field can throw at it.
The company, Xplore Technologies, now has a new product, the Xplore IX104C4 which offers three times the hard drive space, double the memory and 802.11n compatibility. While the model we reviewed featured 16 adjustment levels, the new Wildcat 4 features 100. Another Change from the previous model is in CPU speed where the new model is a Core Duo Intel u2500 Ultra Low Voltage processor for longer battery life and system cooling.
A Couple models of this updated Xplore Rugged Tablet are available with the IX104C4 with Dual Mode and the IX104C4 with Dual Mode AllVue Xtreme. The Company President and CEO Mike Holleran has stated that the IX104C4 offers the "Best Indoor/Outdoor viewable display in the market today."
The product has some impressive updates and in the field seems to offer even more reliability with its enhanced communication feature set and redesigned antenna and integrated wireless modules. The company direction and focus is a business to business one with many uses for Law Enforecment, Military, Office and Field Operations however we can see the uses as endless for businesses and individuals wanting a strong, reliable and sturdy system .
