The website for Geek.com has all kinds of fresh information on technology. Visitors to the website will find reviews, first looks and tips for getting the most out of the computers, gadgets and everyday tech. We visited the website and found information on the new Gateway One, the new HTC Mobile phone and a new monitor from HP. Passion for the technology is what drives this site and together with Chief Technologist Rob Hughes, Chief Geek Joel Evans and Rob have put together the Laptop Buyers Guide.
The Geek.Com Laptop Buyers Guide helps muddle through the confusion that can arise with consumers that are in the market for a new Notebook system. The guys took a look at the most common questions and have answered them with this easy to select the system and componants based on Recommended or Minimum requirements. Pricing is also an option and the guide helps start with a base system and work up depending on the bells and whistles tha consumer is looking for. Covered in some of those whistles is everything from expansion ports to docking stations as well as processor selection.
With the Holiday 2007 season approaching, will buyers be looking at the High End PC systems or will they opt for the budget lines that will start around $499 with laptops? Apple may have a bright future with so much focus on the companies iPod and iPhone products, consumers may be more in line to check out the Mac Book. These are some of the questions Geek.Com looked at with the creation of the Laptop Buyers Guide which can be printed out and carried into the stores.
The Site has a nice layout and visitors can easily locate the latest news on tech on the front page but can also select a tab for "Chips", "Mobile", "Apple", "Games" or "Gadgets" A Forum is also available on the Geek.Com for interacting and commenting on other stories. Joel is a great guest and knowledgable on many different products, we hope to have him on again.
