In October of 2004 Corel Corporation purchased JASC Software and acquired in its stable of programs the popular Paint Shop Pro Graphics Editing Program. For years, Paint Shop Pro has been noted for its powerful applications in a Value priced product. Corel has also had success with its line of products found in the Corel Draw family including Corel's Photo Paint.

As more Digital Camera's are sold to consumers for everything from capturing family moments to creating stylish slide shows users are demanding faster and easier graphics programs for managing it all. Corel's Paint Shop Pro X has been designed with those users in mind. The program boast a powerful and intuitive interface which allows users to pick a task and complete that task step by step while still allowing flexibility outside of the wizard style interface.  Other features that users will enjoy is the Smart Photo Fix feature which can add and correct as well as adjust color and contrast with the click of a button. A feature entitled Object Remover can easily remove that strange person who appears in your photos and the makeover tool can adjust for blemishes, coffee stained teeth and somebody needing a little more sun! Yes, an even tan can be applied.

Corel Paint Shop Pro X also ships with the Corel Photo Album 6 software program which gives users the ability to organize, share and get creative with a wide range of Album templates which can be emailed, burned to DVD/CD and saved for later viewing.
