Roxio never ceases to amaze us with the tools they include in their popular Easy Media Creator suites. For the user that may want to do just about anything with multimedia, Roxio gives users video, audio and photo tools to accomplish task from the basic to the advanced found in many high end multimedia packages.

We spent some time talking with Adam Fingerman on the changes to the package from the previous Easy Media Creator suite 8.5. The changes are not just the inclusion of Blu-Ray support, users will discover over 100 new features and capabilities for Mobile Applications and multimedia creation and storage.

As more and more computer users move into mobile computing with PSP's, iPOD and 3g presentations on PDA's and Phones, users can not only organize on the PC but they can access photos, music, video files, and multi-media projects.  Users can also now upload projects to their multimedia mobile phones through a USB or Bluetooth® connection. For sharing content, users can send photos and video clips to a phone and with that, create a mobile digital album or even upload music segments as personalized ringbones. Some services have different policies with file transfers and music access so it would be a good idea to check with your wireless carrier.

If you're a user that wants the easiest way to create audio files, a new feature of Creator 9 is the Audio Capture Widget, which is a desktop application that lets users record any audio playing on their computer! Want to archive that segment from TechtalkRadio? Even though we provide MP3 archives for download, you could record and store the sound file in a smaller manageable file on your own with this capture widget.

Another sweet feature that Adam tells us about in this segment is the Pre-Roll feature that can automatically record and store audio even before the record button is selected. WOW! This is something similar in effect to a Personal Video Recorder but using just the audio, The Pre-Roll feature ensures users never miss a moment. If you have ever tried recording off the "what you hear" on the system, you'll know if you get an IM, Email or any kind of audio alert it will appear on your recording. Roxio has created a feature within the Audio Capture Widget which is the Mute System Sounds feature that lets consumers hear system alerts, while suppressing them from the recording.

Among many of the returning features is one that will find benefits for experienced video users with the DivX to DVD application. DivX is a popular video compression formula for fitting higher quality Video and Audio on Single CD's or Hard Drives. There are applications on the market for Converting DVD's to the DivX format but now Roxio enables the conversion for DivX to DVD.
