A Sluggish, slow computer can happen to just about anyone. Over time Windows tends to become bloated and disjointed from the programs installed in the computer which can cause system crashes, poor performance and worse, Data Loss.

Gloria had told us that her system had been running sluggishly for the past few weeks and rather then sitting down and tearing into her registry, deleting temp files and running the system defrag, we decided to give System Mechanic 10 a try at popping some pep into the AMD system. Installing was fairly quick and the overall footprint of the system was relatively small. We installed the System Mechanic 10 version from an online download and in less then 10 minutes, we were enjoying a cup of coffee while the system was getting the once over.
When the user enters the program, System Mechanic delivers a status report of the computers condition. Gloria's system of course reported Poor performance and found numerous errors in files, start up and registry. A speedometer type gauge will present to the user the outcome of the results and in which category. System Mechanic 10 reports the outcome of the scan with either a System Health issue or security. The security feature will report the absence of a spyware removal or prevention program, no antivirus protection and the firewall not enabled. Once presented the user can chose to repair the system health issues by having the system repair all or selectively go deeper into the issues and give the user more control in the process. We decided to just go for it and let System Mechanic 10 show us the magic. It should be important to note, we performed a back-up of her files before we took on this task, just as anybody should. Magic was indeed the work as her 80gb drive was clean and reporting good health in under 10 minutes.
The user can also look at other system bottlenecks such as duplicate programs that may complete a task. System Mechanic 10 calls this CRUDD remover and reported that Gloria had Yahoo Messenger and Skype, both programs for completing the same type of task, messaging. System Mechanic 10 also looked deeper at the program and indicated that Yahoo hadn't been used for awhile, looking as though this program may just be loitering. The program doesn't automatically remove programs but like an assistant will show you where you could have file redundancy and give you the option of what you would like to do.
System Mechanic 10 has reported speed improvements of up to 600% which considering some of the PC's I have seen loaded with redundant toolbars and uninstalled programs, is not far fetched. After the numerous and speedy adjustments to Gloria's system, I could visibly register faster boot time and load times for programs. I am certain she will notice the performance gain which has saved time and money over taking it to her computer professional, Which is me anyway's. In hindsight System Mechanic 10 saved me some major work and I still might get peanut butter cookies out of it.
For those households that are now sporting more then one PC, the new licensing plan that System Mechanic 10 has in place is different from the 3 user licence's we have seen in the past. System Mechanic 10 comes with a new Whole Home Licensing program which allows the program to be installed on all computers in a single-family home under one license, including laptops. Thumbs up for that decision.

As Abbas Mehdi told us, The conversion rate is very positive for those that try the program and then purchase it. Most users will realize that this type of optimization is not just a one time affair. As users install programs, visit the web, remove programs and run updates, the system overtime will degrade in performance. We were very happy with the results from our testing of System Mechanic 10.
