Impressive, that's how we would describe the Nik Software Photoshop Plug in. Viveza, which works with most any program that accepts photoshop plugins give the user incredible control over thier images with brightness, color and warmth. Users can easily click an area to adjust and make those changes, multiple areas can be adjusted with use of the U Point tool which can be placed on an area and then sized depending on the adjustment area. Can't get much easier than that!
Nik Software was founded in 1995 and since then has developed many tools for aiding the photographer working with thier images in the digital workspace. The products are extremely easy to use and can be set to handle different task quickly. The Viveza plugin which we used with Adobe Photoshop CS3 garnered amazing results in adjusting a small area and in some images adjusting the entire area when needed. Any program that accepts Photoshop Plugins can use this image tool including the consumer level Adobe Photoshop Elements.
The Company has other valuable plugins as well such as Silver Efex Pro, for working with Black and White Images to Color Efex Pro 3.0 for Capture NX 2. The Nikon Capture NX 2 update to Capture NX from Nikon was announced June 2008. There are many others and taking a look at the Nik Software website will not only give you a look and sample images but the opportunity to try out the program for 15 days. Once you start applying some of these fixes however, you may find it quickly to be a tool you will really want to have in your photo imaging lineup.
