About Amanda

Amanda Macias may have started as a Ustream.tv viewer of TechtalkRadio back in 2008, but she quickly became so much more—a guest, a contributor, a Disney Parks blogger, Comic Con aficionado, and now a full-fledged force in the world of education and technology. With over 16 years of experience transforming K–8 classrooms through the power of tech, Amanda isn’t just talking about 21st-century learning—she’s out there building it.

Amanda was recently named one of EdTech Magazine’s 30 K–12 IT Influencers to Follow in 2025, Amanda’s career has been a bold mix of innovation, mentorship, and purpose. As an instructional support coach, she uplifts educators, supports district leaders, and improves student outcomes—all while reminding everyone that Play Matters. Whether she’s gamifying a lesson with Minecraft or helping teachers rethink what a digital classroom can be, Amanda does it with energy, empathy, and a spark that lights up every room (or Zoom) she enters.

Amanda is a Microsoft Innovative Educator Expert, Minecraft Education Edition Trainer, and a Professional Learning Specialist with Insight 2 Execution—taking her message of student-centered learning to a global stage. And when she’s not streaming or hosting game-based learning sessions on Twitch, she’s probably building foam sets and spooky props with her Halloween-obsessed crew at CalHaunts or hanging out with her husband, fellow tech-lover and ultimate encourager of “crazy passions.”

From edtech to haunt tech, Amanda proves that learning should be immersive, engaging, and just a little bit magical. She’s not just part of the TechtalkRadio team—she’s helping shape the next generation of curious creators and fearless learners.
